The Christchurch YMCA has been running programmes for young people over many years and has a very strong history of delivering high quality programmes.
We specialise in development, leadership, volunteering and using the outdoor environments in everything we do.
The Youth and Outdoors department is responsible for youth development and leadership programmes as well as the volunteer leadership opportunities on our holiday programmes.
Every school holidays our team of dedicated staff run Christchurch's most popular, fun and challenging holiday programmes. With over 10 programmes city-wide catering for ages 5-17 years, there's something for everyone.
But that's not all the Christchurch YMCA has to offer young people: we also run an Education Centre which helps young people from all walks of life to gain skills, knowledge and confidence in a range of areas.
Our state of the art Wainui Park outdoor education facility opens young people's eyes to the wonder of the outdoors through a variety of adventure activities and fun-filled camps.
And if you are a young person (or parent thereof) who enjoys staying fit with your friends - check out our Energyse programme for 12 - 14 year olds at the Bishopdale YMCA.
