For over 100 years our place here in Te Aro, Wellington, has been a favourite meeting place for locals. We love being a part of the community and we are ready to put in the hard yards.
Here at The Southern Cross, or "The Cross", as it's fondly known we pride ourselves on providing a fantastic eating and drinking experience for our punters.
Our spacious pub is made up of a number of different areas - we've got room for everyone, from you and your colleagues, your mates to the kids.
We've got a large drink selection that includes the very best New Zealand wine and beer and features a number of popular craft brews such as Moa, Harringtons and Yeastie Boys.
We'd describe our menu as decent, wholesome home made comfort food. It covers breakfast, lunch and dinner and includes things like bubble and squeak, mince on toast and stone grill.
Our cooking philosophy means that we use quality, fresh local produce and make everything from scratch. We can cater for those with gluten free, vegan and vegetarian diets. Please let our staff know about any dietary restrictions you may have.
There's always something happening at The Southern Cross, from live music and "giant Jenga" competitions to activities especially for kids.

5th April 2011 Great place to relax with friends on chilly evening. The have hot water bottles and blankets while you can play outdoor Jenga. We had a work function there. The food was nice but it ran out.
