The team at Ministry of Hair are absolutely brilliant heart and sole hairdressers! I have been to so many salons and I have never had the amazing experience I had at MOH. Every time I walk in the door I am recognised and welcomed immediately by Hester and her team. Abby is lovely with such a great can do attitude, Brogain is such a character (as well as an amazing hair stylist) and kept me intertained during the 7 hours (no, that wasn't a typo) I was in the salon. Shelley was so lovely (and patient!), removing the black dye from my hair which took 5 hours - she is so amazing, to watch her work is like watching an artist. She took such care and explained everything so well. Hester finished off the last 2 hours (poor Shelley will probably never want to see me again - 5 hours is a long time!) and the result was nothing less than miraculous! My hair is now a beautiful and healthy copper red and I have had sooooo many compliments that my cheeks may be permanently red from blushing! What more can I say - I will never go to another hairdresser - I'm hooked! I've never met hairstylists who are more passionate or knowlegable about hair AND their clients - a rarity these days. Thank you so much Hester and co! See you soon :o)

If you have thick curly unruly hair, this is the place to get it cut! Hester took the time to talk to me about my lifestyle and requirements, and gave me a fabulous new look that is easy for me to manage. Top class service from Abby the friendly and helpful receptionist. I came away feeling special and with a smile on my face. What more can I say - go there and experience some pampering yourself.

11th Aug 2011...Ive just got home from having my hair cut & coloured by Shelly... I can only say ***THANK YOU*** the finish results were More than i expected.. My hair looks so good right now im afraid to mess it up by sleeping on it... Thank you Shelly, for listening, recommending, and explaining the steps taken to make my hair look this good! i will be highly recommending Ministry of Hair to all my friends and family ... I have never imagined that my long hair would finally go into delicate hands who knows the mastery of making it presentable without loosing its natural curves. I tried several saloons in Auckland central and none appreciated my long hair. Here at MOH they teach you whole science behind maintaining long hair... worth it. Give it a go --- Ram

Ministry of Hair are fantastic. I always know im going to come out loving the cut & colour. Beth is amazing at listening to what you want, and then offering some suggestions of her own. Her colour skills are second to none, and the cut is always great. I highly recommend Ministry of Hair, and I have been singing your praises all around town! thanks Beth.

I am so impressed with Ministry of Hair's truly fantastic customer service, friendliness, and most importantly with the quality of haircare there! My hair has never looked so good - I'm hooked! They know so well how to cut, colour and style your hair so that it turns out how you asked, and so it suits you. I would recommend Ministry of Hair to anyone who's looking for an exceptional hairdresser!

To the Man that thinks he has everything Ministry of Hair has been my hairdresser now for two years. While I may be a Westie I can assure all men that it is worth the trip to the city get an appointment. I must say that I was pretty much hooked after the third visit. You may ask me why the third visit and not the first. Well you know guy’s, the first time could just be a fluke when you get an awesome cut and great service to boot. The second time could just be that you feel you are the only one booked for the day so that is why you are getting all the attention. The third is when you realise just how darn good that scalp massage is because you know you can just relax and own the experience for the next 60 minutes. Don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself,

From the moment you walk in the door you feel welcome, you're not just another client; you are you. Hester and the Team know what they are doing; I feel completely safe in their hands, and nearly always will say "do what you feel like doing" when asked what I would like done. I feel safe knowing that they are professionals. Seriously, if you are looking for a great place to get your hair styled, you can't go past them.

I first visited Hester at Ministry of Hair not long after it was established in 2007 as I worked right next door. I was impressed with Hester's honest opinion and ideas with what we could do to my hair. She was able to take me as a walk in and half an hour later I walked away with a new hair style. I have been going to her ever since and her only. I have complete trust in Hester and what is so great is that I am someone who likes to change my hair style and colour every few months. At Ministry of Hair I have never walked away disappointed and always looking unique. My last visit there involved bright purples, pinks and blues - colours Hester knew I would love, and she was totally right. They also use very very good quality products and so I know she is taking the best care of my hair. I would recommend Ministry of Hair to anyone, whether it be for a simple cut, or a fab colouring, definately 2 thumbs up!

The team are brilliant to deal with, and they always manage to squeeze you in, no matter how short the notice!! I feel totally comfortable letting Hester work with her creative flair and trust that the end result will always look great.

Shelley was so lovely (and patient!), removing the black dye from my hair which took 5 hours - she is so amazing, to watch her work is like watching an artist. She took such care and explained everything so well. Hester finished off the last 2 hours (poor Shelley will probably never want to see me again - 5 hours is a long time!) and the result was nothing less than miraculous! My hair is now a beautiful and healthy copper red and I have had sooooo many compliments that my cheeks may be permanently red from blushing! What more can I say - I will never go to another hairdresser - I'm hooked! I've never met hairstylists who are more passionate or knowlegable about hair AND their clients - a rarity these days.
