I love this shop. The owners are lovely and helpful. They have a huge range of shells from around the Pacific, and are very knowledgeable about them too. Their cane products are great and there are lots of nice gift ideas.

Mount Cane & Shell are bulk wholesale suppliers of starfish, sea shells & woven goods including packaging, baskets & matting. Natural Resources.

From our Mount Maunganui base, we import and wholesale our educational resources, baskets, mats and craft supplies for Early Education Providers, Retailers & Gift Shops, Florists and Event Planners throughout New Zealand.

One of our main markets is early childhood learning. We supply a range of natural products to a wide range of early childhood resource centre throughout New Zealand. Like coconut shapes, rings and educational resources.

During 20 years of business we have developed loyal relationships with our suppliers, most of whom are small family businesses. We pride ourselves in obtaining products that are from renewable and sustainable resources and adhere to CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora).

The seashells are mostly products of the seafood industry. The smaller shells are washed up.

Woven products and basketry are made from renewable resources such as tropical grasses and flaxes, palm leaves and parts of the coconut tree.
