Tarawera Medical Centre is useless.... If you ring for an appointment you have to wait a week, i know they are the only doctors here but they could atleast offer you alternative options... In pain here and all i get is no youj cant have an appointment till next week... ppl are ending up in hospital because of something that could have been a simple antibiotic treatment to begin with... Im sure A&E are greatful as well (GET SOME MORE DOCTORS PLEASE)

Patient for over 6yrs. Sadly this center is the only one in this area. If you are sick travel into Whakatane instead as bookings are hard to come by. They do not deal with various conditions in a professional manner, I found better help via the internet. Getting pushed away when you ask for help is utterly gut wrenching but this doctor I saw last visit he saw no need for me to get further help. I am not a hypochondriac, I don't visit the doctor unless something is wrong, after the last appointment here I was actually shocked at how the appointment went.

I came to the clinic as a new patient ,but the doctor rejected to help me with my health problem just because she did not have any medical report .
All I asked for was a referral to send me to a specialist ,and she said she could not know because she did not have any document.
what kind of document did she need ? I was there , a human being ,in pain ,and to ease her job ,i explained that I needed to be check by a specialist ...if you dont send me to a specialist ,why dont you help me with my problem yourself as a doctor ?
at the end ,i paid and i went back home with nothing just double pain !
