William Gill was in the Transport Industry in New Zealand for over 70 years. Starting back in 1924 when he established William Gill Ltd in Auckland. Thirty years later in 1954 he founded William Gill & Sons Ltd in Huntly.
Commer and Dodge trucks were their first line of business and they soon developed a wide spread reputation as a company who stood behind everything they sold 100%. As a consequence the demand for their service increased more and more, and came from further afield.
In 1972 William Gill & Sons Ltd's expertise in truck sales and service was recognised by Todd Motors who had just acquired the Mitsubishi franchise for New Zealand. In that same year they appointed William Gill & Sons Ltd as Mitsubishi dealers.
In 1979 a branch was opened in Manukau City to service an already large customer base in the Auckland Region. Right up until the present day the success story continues. Still known for outstanding Sales and After Sales service.
