8th October 2015 Best doctor I've ever seen in my entire life. Always has time for you, sure there may be a little wait but Doctor John is well worth the wait. He is honest, he is a brilliant problem solver and he is comforting. He knows what he is talking about and asks all the right questions before diagnosing. His work goes well beyond any other doctor I've dealt with ever. There is a running joke in my family that 'Doctor John is ALWAYS right'. So far he has always been right in my 29 years of being a client of his. I live about 40 - 50 mins away from his practise now but still keep him as my main GP as his work is just flawless. This doctor is a real gem. If you've had the pleasure of dealing with him you will understand.

30th August 2011 Dr John Upsdell was my very first GP when I came to Mangere from Manapouri in 1987. I had been initially diagnosed with the Neurological Condition of MS., Multiple Sclerosis in 1984 whilst in Manapouri. Following numerous exacebations of the disease I was finally medically retired from the workforce in 1987. I was under Dr Upsdell's care during the period 1987-1996 during which time I received excellent medical treatment. In 1996 I transferred from Mangere to Pakuranga and my medical records were requested by my new doctor, Dr Graeme Sewell of Tamaki Family Health Centre, Panmure.
