Huhtamaki Henderson Ltd, Auckland, manufactures rigid paper and plastic products for the consumer market and is the only local manufacturer of paper hot and cold disposable beverage cups. Products include the popular Lily retail range and Huhtamaki catering range of paper and plastic plates, bowls, cups and cutlery.

The biodegradable BioWare range made from renewable plant resources includes plates, bowls, cutlery and cups plus takeaway containers. The BioWare products are compostable in industrial conditions. Our standard range of rigid food packaging products, such as containers for ice-cream, edible fats and spreads can be custom printed or labeled, alternatively a custom container can be created for your product. Other products include plastic and paper takeaway containers, fresh food containers and plastic portion cups. We also have available beverage carry trays and cup dispensers.

Our hot beverage cups are available in double or single wall and fit the Huhtamaki Uni-Lid, a one-size-fits-all lid for our three standard cup sizes. Custom print is available and as we manufacture and print here in Auckland the printing is of high quality, producing near photographic results. Other products can be custom printed including cold cups, plates and containers.

Here in New Zealand Huhtamaki Henderson is the first site in the Huhtamaki Group outside of Europe, to have been granted the ISO 14001: 2004 Environmental Management Standard. This standard encompasses a system which is a set of cohesive elements that an organisation may use to minimise its impact on the environment. Huhtamaki manufactures products with the aim of minimising natural resource depletion, optimising process efficiency, applying the best techniques and practises, reducing solid waste generation, and reducing effluent discharges and emissions to the air.

Huhtamaki Henderson has a history dating back to 1939 when it started life as Carton Specialties. After numerous acquisitions with well known brands such as Lily, Chinet, Polarcup and Insulpak, Huhtamaki purchased the Lilypak group in 1988 then Van Leer Packaging in 1999. Today we are known as Huhtamaki. Our head office is in Espoo, Finland and we operate in 36 countries with over 15,000 employees globally.
