1st January 2015 This is a great place to go for a meal if you don't care about service and don't mind being ignored. While the meal was ok, the service was absolutely rubbish. Booked a table earlier in the week which wasn't available on the night. Had to get our own drinks from the bar. Had to ask the waitress to come and take our order after waiting for 20 minutes of no service at all. No water brought to the table. No attention whatsoever. Meanwhile others came in and were seated and orders taken. They weren't run off their feet, it wasn't overly busy, they just seem to be too casual and slack. We realise its a country pub and don't expect a city restaurant experience but there is no excuse for such rubbish service. Wouldn't recommend.
