30th March 2012 Last friday My family 5 of us had dinner at The Elephant Thai cuisine Howick. Once we step in The smell of beautiful thai food knock
on me. I can't wait to have a sit and order right away.
The waitress come to our table and say Sawasdee Ka (Hello in Thai ). and ask us for any drink. We order several drinks and
Mains at the same time because the restaurant is very full. So we thought that the food will slow. But amazing, all the food serve on our table within 15 minutes. The all very yummy.
Try Red Duck curry is wonderful
But only lest than 15 minutes all food are served on our table
and they are very testy
15th March 2013 Today i went for dinner at the Thai Elephant Restaurant. The atmosphere and meals made me feel as if i was in Thailand! I ordered the Chicken Cashew and it was fantastic. The temperature of the rice and food was great and the rice managed to melt in my mouth! The restaurant was very busy, yet the service was always available and the food was never delayed. I enjoyed the presentation of the food and rice, it seemed as if great detail went into making the food as well as making it look good. My favourite thing about the restaurant is how relaxing it was. After a long day at work, my Friday night was definitely a success. I order the special 'entre, main and desert' for $20, my only complaint was that there was too much food!!! I brought my own wine in which made my meal that much better!I will definitely be visiting again and become a frequent customer. It was a very pleasant experience.

11th February 2012 Quant little restaurant, had a great lunch special only $15 for starter(we chose the mixed platter) and main which is perfect when you need a Thai fix, service is prompt and staff accomodating. Will have to go back for dinner me thinks for a bigger portion size, yum !

5th September 2010 this is our local thai, we get takeaways and eat in about twice per month. very casual but very good food in generous proportions. nothing flash here just good reasonably priced food! Very popular with the locals.

16th August 2010 An unassuming and casual little Thai place just off the main Picton Street. Very friendly staff. We never make a reservation and they are always busy but manage to fit us in anyway. Food is good and plentyful. Prawn toast starter rocks although I suspect a little calorific. Separate Vegetarian menu with a great vege (tofu) red or green curry. Couple of niggles mostly around the table arrangement but too minor to go into - it's not expensive so all good. And much more relaxed than the other thai option which on a weekend evening has the ambiance of the stock exchange trading floor.

20th July 2010 Extremely tasty Thai food and would definitely recommend a visit. Great service too although I thought a little pricey. Very good food though!

13th July 2010 Lovely little place. Very nice atmosphere and decor. Good presentation with the food and nice selection of vegetarian options. My wife loves the place.

8th July 2010 Great food and nice decor. The place has a great cosy atmosphere to it. The staff are very friendly and good at helping to recommend dishes to try.
