5th April 2011 Friendly staff, and excellent food. A wide variety of choice on the menu and good selection - there is sure to be something to suit everyone. Quite a small place and got packed towards the end of our stay, so it would pay to book
Traditional Japanese cuisine served in a welcoming cafe.
This intimate caf can be found tucked away in Wellington(TM)s Willis Street Arcade. Miyabi serves a large variety of traditional Japanese dishes, it is great for a quiet sit down meal with loved ones or a peaceful meal for one.

21st October 2010 Great place! This was my first sit-down Japanese experience in Welly and it delivered well. As others have said, it felt more authentic for someone who has actually been to Japan. The sushi was good with enough stuff that's more traditional and less westernized fare. I really enjoyed the beef teriyaki set, and the green tea ice cream with tempura banana was amazing! I'm very happy with it.

5th October 2010 Miyabi would have to be the best of the cheap Japanese restaurants in Wellington. The food seems to be more in line with what I had in Japan, than some of the Westernised versions you get in other restaurants. Great value for money. The man who runs the place is lovely and always says hello.

5th September 2010 Excellent little gem - small but cosy Japanese restaurant. Hidden in a little arcade in Willis Street.
We go there regularly at least once a month and
the food is consistently good.
My favourites are the Teriyaki beef set and the
Teriyaki Chicken set.
