I appreciate that the funding is tight and have no complaints regarding lengty waiting times. Receptionists are doing a great job under the circumstances- thank you, you are amazing! However, in my experience several nurses including a couple of doctors and a psychiatrist appear to be seriously lacking in their bedside manners. At times they have been short tempered, abrupt, condescending, even went as far as shouting at the patients and took no care to protect the patients' confidentiality by discussing their private medical information in front of the whole waiting room.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I contacted Newtown Union Health Service to set up an appointment and the receptionist made me hold three times without letting me know that she was going to put me on hold and was very rude over the phone. I do understand that it can be very busy at times but she should've had a better phone manner. Very poor service.
