My wife and I have been getting our medication from the 3 Kings Pharmacy for many years now. Generally, the staff are good and courteous, except for the one pharmacist, I think, whom I found extremely difficult to get any answer to a question I had - which I do rarely. This morning it happened again for the third time in a matter of a year (with the same pharmacist), and I thought of writing. The doctor had prescribed a slightly different needle for insulin, and I asked the pharmacist what the difference was between 31G and 32G. The pharmacist barely moved her eyes off the computer and said "they are all the same, you tell me what you want?" I went to two other pharmacies in nearby Royal Oak and in both cases they explained that 'G' was for the gauge, and larger the value finer it was. Afterwards, I went to 3 Kings to collect my medication and all she could tell me was "tell me what you want, I am too busy; I know you like to discuss things". I asked if I could speak to a manager about this, to which she replied "I am the manager today". This is similar to the response I received from the same pharmacist in two other occasions. Surely, a pharmacist must be able to explain a thing or two in odd occasions - in this case I would have preferred a finer needle. This apparently arrogant response to a customer is very unusual in NZ, and me checking with other pharmacies around did confirm that. Pharmacy is not there just to dispense and dispense more medication.... If a pharmacist uses "too busy" as an excuse every time, one can't build a trust! If there is a manager you could ring me on 0210679037.

Thanks for you comment, it confirms what we aim for, however, sad to hear you were little shocked about the $3.00 charge as this is to pay for part of the cost of our professional Pharmacist to check your report and does not reflect cost paper. We will definitely look into that and try to imporve our sevice better. Kind Regards Zaid SULAIMAN (Managing Director)

Generally, they provide a high standard of service and the staff are very helpful. Was a little shocked at having to pay $3.00 for a one page A5 copy of my prescriptions over a three month period, as the Howick Pharmacy didn't charge me a dime for four pages and the doctor didn't charge me for four pages. Think they need to do a re-think and charge a fairer rate on a prorata basis....per page or something like that!
I find 3 Kings Plaza Pharmacy excellent. Its convenient being next to Countdown and has good parking and I like that its open late after work.
