Well read staff who can recommend the right book for anybody - a great selection of fiction, children's books, lifestyle and therapy titles. The perfect place to find a good book. Not to be missed when visiting Ponsonby Road. Also a helpful website and glossy newsletter.

We have just been awarded PENGUIN NZ INDEPENDENT BOOKSELLER OF THE YEAR 2011.
In an area famous for fine food, we are the purveyors of fine words. We are renowned for our book knowledge, our friendly service and our stunning author events.

As well as our lovely shop in bustling Ponsonby Road, we have a secure, user-friendly website where all our books are carefully categorized and easy to find.

Special orders are our speciality! We'll find the book you want and order it for you, from overseas if necessary.

We post out huge piles of books every day, all over the country.

Our purpose has always been to promote women's writing but we stock lots of books written by men and welcome our many male customers.

We have become New Zealand's specialist bookshop for counselling and therapy titles and often take bookstalls out to conferences.

Our other strong areas are quality fiction, personal development, birth & parenting, and gay & lesbian books.

We publish BOOKCHOICE, a colourful newsletter/catalogue three times a year. Please let us know if you would like to go on our mailing list.

News and events are emailed via our colourful, occasional E-NEWS, which goes out in between the BOOKCHOICE postings.
