Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua City is a multi-purpose state-of-the-art events centre with 2 stadiums, meeting rooms, dance studio, theatrette, aquatic centre, fitness centre, and cafe. Free parking.
Te Rauparaha Arena is managed by Porirua City Council and provides a range of facilities:
Main Gymnasium (2,495 sq metres)
Secondary Gymnasium (857 sq metres)
Meeting Room Spaces (2 x 44 sq metres)
Dance Studio (sprung floor)
Theatre (seats 80)
All facilities are fitted with air-conditioning and excellent lighting. The gymnasium spaces have ceiling mounted heating and full audio capabilities. Our preferred suppliers will provide you with any additional services you may require.
The Arena also provides quality programmes with our National award winning Holiday Programme, Gymnastics and preschool programmes and also inter-primary school competitions.
Events held at Te Rauparaha Arena have included the Grand Opening Gala Dinner, the Porirua Sports Awards, the Home, Living and Leisure Show, Whitireia Community Polytechnic Graduation, the Oceania World Qualifying Volleyball Championships and the Wedding and Bridal Expo.

The Porirua pool is cool :-) and it is the best (hottest) sauna I have found in Wellington so far.
