The EEA is the national association for engineers and technical staff in the electricity supply industry.
The EEA has a growing membership of over three hundred professional engineers and technical staff, and is the focal point for leadership on technical and safety issues affecting the electricity supply industry.
The EEA provides information and assistance to individuals and their companies on technical and safety issues, standards/guidelines, and professional development matters, as well as providing representation to Government and other organisations involved in the electricity supply industry.
The EEA also supplies to industry an extensive range of publication titles and professional development courses on technical and safety related matters.

In recognition of outstanding contribution to the industry, and to showcase, reward and celebrate excellence and innovation, the EEA is proud to present a range of annual awards to industry staff.
SCHOLARSHIPS
To encourage university students into power industry engineering, the EEA offers four university scholarships - two each to the University of Canterbury and the University of Auckland Schools of Engineering.
