The environment in our centres is happy, positive, caring and educational. This is achieved through co-operation between owners, General Manager, acting team leaders and professionally trained ECE teachers, parents and children.
The programme provides the maximum benefit for each child as we cater for their educational, physical, intellectual as well as emotional and spiritual needs.
TINYTOWN has a reputation for providing professional and quality early childhood care.
Children love to discover and what better way to explore our world than through fun, play and interaction. For all children, the transition to school is a challenging one so we nurture a love of learning to ensure this journey is enjoyable and rewarding.
Our 'towns' are a daily hive of activity and are divided into groupings with children of similar ages. All activities interweave into each child's learning journey.
Children take part in projects designed to extend their learning and cognitive processes.
The goals and learning outcomes of Te Whariki are integral to our daily activities, ensuring children gain a strong cultural awareness and appreciation of their place in society.
The early childhood curriculum includes daily activities according to the age and development of each child. These include:
books and story telling
dramatic or fantasy play
recognition of colours
Nursery from birth - 2 years
Toddler from 2 - 3 years
Pre-school from 3 years - 5 years
Our staff offer a secure and happy environment where the children learn trust and feel safe. We have a high staff-child ratio and encourage daily parent-staff communication.
As an extension to the daily programme, the pre-school children often go on field trips. These are an important part of the programme and are thoroughly enjoyed by the children.
