25th January 2011 Love this place. Out door seating under sails is great, staff friendly and efficient. Went back twice but closed. Will keep trying as they serve some pretty amazing food. Highly recommend anyone try this cafe.

With the influence of our Italian Head Chef there are also a variety of seafood and non-seafood dishes, vegetarian and children's options, so the whole family can be catered for. Our menu has been carefully matched with local Marlborough wines. Truly a Havelock Icon.
Seating by a cosy fire in winter and great outdoor dining in the summer. We are easy to find - just look for the giant pot of mussels on the roof.
Tour Groups
We cater for bus tours and larger groups but if possible please phone ahead.
30th January 2012 Great Food, especially the steamed Mussels with Sweet Chilli Sauce and garlic, crusty bread and a good wine. Ideally nothing more you could want. At reasonably prices and good atmosphere. We were enchanted.

12th March 2011 Thanks for the review. We like our little place too and are always trying hard to improve our food. Sorry you didn't make it back. We closed after lunch service and re-open later for dinner as it is a different menu and more formal than lunch service. Please keep recommending us.

27th August 2009 Absolutely wonderful mussels. Fish and chips are best we had in NZ. In Havelock for 2 nights and ate here both times
