So I have shopped at Kimberleys for a number of years without a problem. Last week I went into their Wellington store and found an awesom waistcoat. They didn't have my size (M) but could get it in for me - which was great, but it would cost me $5. I was a little narked, but could have been persuaded except that they would NOT refund the $5 if I then purchased the item. I even took it to their National Sales Manager who said she would take this to the Directors but there was nothing she could do. I found it 'interesting' that Kimberleys were willing to let a sale walk out the door for the sake of $5. Not once did they offer any alternatives. They are a fashion shop and a medium size is not an extraordinary request - surely this should be covered in their overheads. I didn't go through with this as their 'policy' really irked me, especially given the size of the potential sale. There are other fashion houses who either stock an average size or can get it in without charging their customer or seeking advice from their Directors!
