22nd February 2012 Great service and great meal. Then of course there is the view - amazing. This is a terrific place to meet with family and friends, which is what we did. The kids were well catered for - the salad boat enabled them (and us) to select the things that we like for our salads. We enjoyed both steak and fish at our table and would definately order again. The chocolate scallop shell is a must for all chocoholics. Will defiantely eat here when we are in Wellington - everything was great including the prices.

11th February 2012 Amazing location - beautiful view unfortunately that is the only things positive to say. The menu looks great for what is is - good simple food with a slight (less than you would think) marine bent.
As a long time Wellingtonian I thought of it as a must visit.
The downside:
The food was abysmal - worse than your local fish and chip shop and four times as expensive! The fish was dry and fried to death, the salad just awful - I have had potato's with quite the same slimy texture.
Also the service was soso - not great - they lost us in the bar after sending us there! The food turned up fast although one main was a good 5 minutes behind the others.
One more slight positive would be some good options for the kids - although unfortunately the kids (who usually will eat anything!) didn't like the food.

14th July 2011 Probably one of the best sea views in Wellington, a lovely setting, excellent service and really good food at a n incredibly reasonable price.
The staff was friendly and helpful to us and our little one from the very beginning.
The fish was beautifully done with a yummy creamy sauce and the beef was impossibly tender, cooked to absolute perfection. The salad bar is well stocked with much more than you would normally expect -hot and cold starters, as much as you can eat. Great for the kids and excellent quality for the bigger ones.
We'll be sure to return upon our next visit.
