Carlile Dowling was formed in June 1987 through the amalgamation of two long established Napier law firms; Carlile McLean & Co and Dowling & Co.
The firm is one of the oldest in Hawkes Bay and can trace its history under the one name from the earliest days of settlement. The amalgamation effectively combined a wealth of experience in virtually every area of legal practice.
This has been maintained to the present day as the current partnership of 5 lawyers includes 2 of the original founders. In addition the partnership is supported by the more recent additions of both Associates & Solicitors, providing a diversity and depth to the firm.
