The Christchurch YMCA has two gym facilities and offers a wide range of fitness programmes. Our city gym has over 1200 members, is conveniently located and has on site car parking. Our new facility at Bishopdale opened in November 2006, has about 1600 members and a spacious purpose built studio with the latest Life Fitness cardio and strength equipment.
YMCA Fitness staff are qualified and experienced in fitness assessment and in designing specific programmes to meet your individual needs and goals within our caring and supportive environment.
To provide you with a balanced and varied programme our fitness centres offer a range of free weights as well as cardiovascular and resistance machines.
Memberships include free individualised fitness programmes plus regular programme updates and progressions, use of lockers, showers and changing facilities, free car parking as well as reciprocal membership at YMCA(TM)s throughout New Zealand.
Plus you get the opportunity to get involved in our group exercise classes
The Christchurch YMCA also has a 13 metre climbing wall, bouldering room, five squash courts and a badminton court.
