CP Mac's is a Christchurch based business run by Wayne McLaughlin who has a wealth of engineering knowledge. Wayne McLaughlin has more than 30 years experience in conveyor design, manufacture and installation.
Their list of clients reads like a Who's Who of the New Zealand food industry, with many leading companies such as Coca Cola, NZ Lion Breweries, Couplands, Meadowfresh, Foodstuffs South island and Halley labels having installed CP Mac's Engineering conveyor systems.
CP Mac's engineering products are also beating international competition. For example, manufacturing the steel frame and mechanical components for several labelling machines, at a price which was less than the airfreight cost of bringing in similar equipment from a major label machine manufacturer in Italy.
Aside from offering major price advantages by opting for locally built plant, rather than the imported product, clients receive other benefits. We can work with our clients face to face, to design and build equipment to their exact requirements. You can not get that level of service buying from a catalogue, where you can never be completely sure that what you are purchasing, will do the job required.
CP Mac's Engineering Ltd also provide a range of general engineering services. These include general design and fabrication work, factory maintenance, servicing plant as well as new plant, manufacture and installation and specialist welding for aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel.
Wayne Mclaughlin and staff take pride in their commitment to careful and innovative product design, combined with top quality workmanship. "We are prepared to look outside the circle and innovate. We are also conscious of the need to give safety and health requirements the highest priority, as these are the key design elements when catering to the needs of the food industry."
Examples of product innovation are not hard to find from the company's diverse array of clients. CP Mac's Engineering completed a pie-line for export to the Tasmanian Bakeries, Hobart, Australia.
