7th July 2013 There may be a misunderstanding about this "Hygiene issue" because there are two Marcel Bakeries around the area.There is one in South Gate, Papakura which has a food hygiene grade of D whereas this one has a grade A. I visit this one all the time and they wrap up food as well as storing them in refrigerated shelves. Their customer service is great and everything seems to be up to standard.

20th February 2012 HEALTH & HYGIENE ISSUES! This bakery is just up the road from me. I look forward to getting the occasional chelsea bun and usually buy lunches and drinks from there too. BUT, I am going to choose to travel further away to get my bakery needs as the staff there DO NOT LISTEN to their customers. They have lost their business now from my wife and I and the $1000's we would otherwise be spending there over time. One example is that they leave food open and exposed on the counter tops when they can easily put glad wrap around it to keep the flies off. I go in there ready to pay for this food but actually notice flies crawling over the food and so tell them about it but they DO NOTHING about my concerns. I have now told them about 6 times already! And so because they do not listen to their customers and are obviously not that health conscious, I choose to take my business away from there. It just shows me that they really DON"T CARE for their customers nor for the customers health and hygeine. They have demonstrated an appaling attitude in a service industry.
