8th June 2010 My daughter was a client since age 2 (was) being the operative word. I agree with the first review not the greatest service and expensive. Two years ago we got my daughters new glassses there as we always have and I was still really pleased with ther service etc. Recently my daughters glasses snapped my partner took them in and the place had changed the woman at the frontdesk had zip charm or service skills heres why. She sent the glasses off to eyezone devonport to be welded (incidently he was fabulous very professional) I believe eyezone are individually owned and would not want to cast bad light on the branch at devonport. She suggested an eye test which was fine as my daughter was due. The test has gone up from 90 to 100 dollars. When my partner arrived home with my daughter I asked if there was any change in her perscription he said "just a slight change in one eye she has become more longsighted" I asked to see the perscription and he replied "she said it's there if we need it" WHAT we paid 100 dollars for a piece of paper she keeps? I have kept a meticulous record of my daughter eye perscriptions since age two! So i drive all the way out there from Albany and ask her for the perscription instead of apologising for not giving us what we paid for in the first place nor apologising for me having to drive back out to request, the response I got was "oh if you take the perscription elsewhere and it's not filled correctly you'll have to pay for it" so it was obvious she didnt give my partner the perscription in the first place wanting us to fill the perscription there. She reluctantly went into the system and managed to screw up the print out 4 times before I offered to take a walk around the shops and come back. Again she made mention of the don't get it filled elsewhere! I should have said "look lady we paid for this piece of paper!" too polite I said "her grandmother wants to see the perscription" In reality its none of her business and very unprofessional. As I said there was no apology! getting this percription what I paid for was like drawing blood from a stone. I left really annoyed. We took the perscription to SpecSavers Albany where we were informed the script was useless not enough information and cut off on one side. We paid for another test there (60 dollars)and it turns out Eyezone got the perscription wrong, my daughter has not become more slightly longsighted in one eye it was more or less the old perscription. My partner felt confident SpecSaver got it right as he noted they had the lastest technology and more gizmos to check my daughters eyes. So much for her comment "if they get it wrong you'll have to pay for it!" We certainly did! After 9 years of loyalty, such apalling front desk service we wont be going back. Specsavers service rocks and glasses cost half what Eyezone would charge.

9th March 2010 Not the greatest and need to improve their service. You feel like you've interrupted them. You have to follow up on them if you have repairs and you get the impression that people don't like to work there. They've changed staff so much and I should get over them as they show no appreciation of loyalty. Plus they're not exactly cheap. Just the basics really, smile, make me feel welcome, do what you say and show that you enjoy what you do. These guys do none of that and I'm an idiot for continuing to give them custom when I should support another local trader.
