New Patients are not welcome at this clinic. I was treated like a criminal trying to sneak in a fugitive when attempting to make an appointment for my partner earlier today.

I was offered four appointment times, and I confirmed one and then when I gave his name she said "You must have called the wrong place." I said no, he is a patient with two other practices in Redi-care and he doesn't have a doctor. Suddenly they were fully booked, didn't offer appointments to 'casuals' anyway and I had a cheek for not stating he was new from the start.

While I am sorry for 'wasting her time', I think Medical Clinics should be aware that not all the general public is aware of DHB rules in regard to registered patients, and that when their advertisements state that 'new patients always welcome' a person might be confused into thinking new patients would be welcome.

Thank you for your review. We have now up-dated this site so that other will be aware too. We apologise for the confusion. I also think you may have been looking for Radius, as they have a chain of medical centres. We are the one and only Redicare Medical Centre in New Zealand. Radius has quite a few and most of them don't have appointment bookings, only walk in appointments, as far as I'm aware. Apologies once again for the site not being up-to-date, but thank you for making us aware of it, and as you can see, we have now up-dated. Kind regards Kerry McCoy Practice Manager

I found the nurses at this medical centre to be very professional and friendly. I felt more than comfortable when I was in the hands of the nurses and doctors here and I really got the assistance and attention that I needed to ensure my health was in tip top condition. I was assisted straight away and the nurse that helped me was really understanding of the condition I was in. This is one medical centre I will be sure to visit again.

Doctors are great. But the nurses let them down, making it difficult to get trivial things like repeat prescriptions done. I've found them busy chatting to each other and ignoring folk who are waiting.

If you get Dr Magaskill-Smith you are the luckiest person! The other Drs are good but she is AMAZING!!!
