PEOPLE PROFILE
Lavanya Dunraj is the principal of Botany Law. Lavanya specialises in matrimonial and relationship property law, child parenting disputes and care of children issues.
The firm also practices in the area of family protection claims and wills and administration of deceased estates.
Lavanya has a keen interest in the area of family and property law thus enabling her to concentrate her skills in the area of Relationship property and Matrimonial matters.
A relationship split often entails a split of matrimonial/ relationship property such as Family Home, Bank accounts, Superannuation fund, boats, cars, businesses and other interests. Hence a wide variety of skills and knowledge are required to deal with the division of assets and liabilities, and Lavanya's experience both in the private sector and commercial field enables her to deal with such matters with ease.
Not all marital or relationship break-ups are acrimonious but when they are, Lavanya's conciliatory approach means matters can often be resolved amicably and with dignity and without the need to go to court.
"The parties have enough stress at these times and as a professional I do my best to ease the burden for them".
"Where possible I try to avoid the adversarial approach but when matters demand Court intervention then I use my best endeavours to help my clients to stay calmly focused so that the best possible outcome is achieved for my client", she says. "However, I am always mindful of legal costs which can escalate so where possible I seek an amicable settlement (even after litigation has commenced) which saves the parties time, money and stress".
Lavanya offers competitive rates for Legal Services as well as mutually suitable forms of payment. Lavanya is also a Legal Aid Lead provider.
