Roy is very experienced in leading important events including funerals. Roy has lead celebratory ceremonies in a variety of settings including informal venues such as beach settings and gardens. He ensures rituals are appropriate to the people involved.

Roy was a Methodist clergyperson from 1966 to 1977. He resigned in 1977 to pursue an academic career and a career as a therapist. In addition to secular ceremonies he can work with ceremonies that include christian, spiritual or religious elements.
