Orchard View Cottage

This peaceful, two bedroom cottage is set amidst 20 acres of private land which includes riverside, pasture, kiwifruit orchard and native bush. Situated at the top of the South Island, north-west of sunny Nelson, Orchard View Cottage is close to all amenities and activities.

Two bedrooms sleep four people in comfort. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed and the second bedroom has two single bunk beds. A double sofa bed provides sleeping accommodation for a fifth person and a port a cot and highchair are available on request.

The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, stove, toaster, crockery, utensils etc and satellite TV , CD player and telephone are available in the living/dining area. The large deck catches all day sunshine and is complete with table, chairs and gas BBQ for outdoor living. From here you can enjoy stunning views across the orchard and beyond. A tranquil place to relax and enjoy the birdsong of the tuis and bell birds and watch the mid air antics of the wood pigeons in Spring. A two minute stroll will bring you to the Riwaka River where you can fish for trout or feed the ducks.

The property is home to small farm animals, llamas, dogs, cats, horses, free range ducks, peacocks, and hens. Your own dog is welcome with prior notice.
The cottage is child friendly being well away from the road - great for families- and with plenty of space to park your car and boat.
Just 12 minutes will bring you to the Abel Tasman National Park, the sandy beaches of Marahau and Kaiteriteri and the township of Motueka.
Local activities include sea kayaking, walking, horse riding, swimming, golf, tennis, wine and craft trails. In Motueka you will find supermarkets, banks, chemists, bars and restaurants. Nelson airport is a 45 minute drive away.
