Allans Beach Farmstay on the Otago Peninsula is your home away from home. Both 'The Cottage' and 'The Shed' are fully self-contained units. All you need to bring is your food. This is a really nice peaceful and quiet place to stay.
Set on a working farm and only five minutes walk from beautiful Allans Beach, you can experience the rural life and enjoy the 'wild side' of the Otago Peninsula at Allans Beach.
Both units have two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other room has twin beds. 'The Shed' has room in the twin bedroom for a fold out bed. 'The Sleepout' is another bedroom available to both units. This has a double bed in it. So each unit could cater for 4-6 people.
There is a great abundance of birdlife and wildlife in the area. Wading birds can be seen in and around Hoopers Inlet. Seals and sea lions frequent Allans Beach. Sam's Peninsula Off Road Evening Wildlife Tour, which leaves from Allans Beach Farmstay, will take you across the farm to see seals, sea lions and Yellow Eyed Penguins in their natural habitat. Viewing is designed not to disturb the wildlife. The coastal scenery is spectacular. There is a limit of 8 people on the tour so it is very personal.
Allans Beach is only 10 minutes drive from Portobello, where 1908 Cafe, Portobello Hotel and all other amenities are available. We are only 20-30 minutes drive to all the major attractions of Dunedin.
This is a great place for families to stay as there is plenty of room for the children to play and everything is very natural. Get back to nature!
