Perfect place for after work drinks. Good atmosphere and on Weds it is happy hour! Great cocktails so worth a visit. I'll definitely be going back...especially on a Weds!

Few suburban restaurants could be more suburban than The Maple Room, situated in a small block of shops on the corner of Upland and Benson Roads in upmarket Remuera.

Words used to describe this part of the city might include the following: tasteful, gracious, discreet comfortable, sophisticated and elegant.

And much the same adjectives could be applied to The Maple Room, which clearly knows it clientele and caters accordingly.

The Maple Room, with large glass doors and an outdoor area, is a bright and airy place for weekday lunch but by night the lights become muted and the room is warm and welcoming.

The Maple Room is clearly a local favourite but for those from other suburbs it is a place where you can park easily, enjoy the quiet sophistication of the room and menu and step outside into the very pleasant tree-lined street in a rather fancy suburb.

The worst meal we have eaten this year.Initial comments were how colourless the presentation was The deep fried scallop dish was swimming in sauce which made it soggy and oily leaving a nasty oily finish in the bowl and on the palate. Chicken was microwaved without any browning and potato accompaniment was missing Side dish of baby beets was out of a tin Altogether unsatisfactory

Love the cocktails! Great on summers afternoon for a few drinks with friends! Because this place is based on the corner of some of Remuera's best streets, for you boys, the car watching is amazing!
