Had a great night out with family and friends recently, a second recent visit to Stampede. Stampede's proven to be the perfect place to take a family. Found the staff very friendly, attentive and accommodating. The food was great (the oyster entree was unbelievably good), the service spot on and I'll be back for sure. Highly recommended.

Stampede Bar and Grill is the premier nightspot and function venue in Papakura.

Stampede is an authentic Western style Bar and Restaurant and boasts an exciting Western Saloon style environment. Folks are coming from miles around to eat from the mouth watering menu on western saddle seats in the restaurant with its authentic Wild West decor.

Others come to let loose with a boot stompin' boogie to one of the many DJs and bands that perform. Whatever reason folks have for being here they all share a common thought, that Stampede is by far the most elaborately themed bar they have experienced. Not only has the effort been put into the theming of the venue, but also a great deal of care has been put in to ensure a fun, safe environment can be shared by all.

Stampede is Open 7 days from 11am-3am most days with DJ's every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The restaurant has the best steaks in town and a fantastic wine list including local wines which can be enjoyed in front of the large open fire.

There are 2 big screens playing sports matches and karaoke, retro and Mechanical bull nights mixed in with other leading events.

Adult meals were great value and well prepared, although the meal descriptions were somewhat inaccurate in the detail. Was unimpressed with the children's meals - ordered from under 3 menu section, the sausage was a choritzo of a spice level that I would love, but that a child isn't going to go near. Ordered the one item without fries, which then came with fries; and was missing the raisins etc it was supposed to come with. However staff was apologetic when brought to their attention and did not charge us for those meals. Overall would try again; but hoping they improve!
