Have been here several times now! Fantastic food, incredible service and the cocktails are the best in town! Very busy place, however always get the food out quickly! Expect a wait for a table though!

Yummy food and always a good atmosphere at SPQR. I can highly recommend the platter and the gnocci scamp. We had a new waitress who was still learning the ropes but otherwise a great evening out.

Fantastic - partner and I walked in off the street for a table, great food, timely service, great selection. Definitely a favorite along Ponsonby road and it's not hard to see why!

Try SQPR's 'quick' lunch option. You'll have a choice of entree, main and wine match. The menu may be made to deliver meals quickly to the lunchtime dining crowd, but there's no skimping on quality or service. SQPR is one of my favourites in Ponsonby - day or night.

Great spot to have a perv at all the weird and wonderful people that walk along Ponsonby Road! the food isnt too shabby either though can be a bit expensive for a pizza.

Was our first visit to SPQR and will definately return. My husbancd and I were impressed with the atmosphere and quality of food. A great buzz however was a little bit loud. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and provided great service with just the right amount of attention. All the mains were superb, and with generous portions being provided with each selection. The eye fillet steak was cooked to perfection and the dessert was amazing. An extremely pleasant experience, and looking forward to going back.

I'd heard lots about this place (good and bad) so had to try it for myself. We got a streetside table and the atmosphere was great. The waiters are so attentive (one even sat with me while my friend went to use the loo so I wouldn't be on my own!) and the food is so yummy! I'll definitely be back.

I've been here a few times and I know I'll be back for more. I've got mates who come for nothing but an after dinner drink or deserts... SPQR is low lit and moody. The food is good and reliable but maybe they could take more risks. On the menu when I have been is oven roasted snapper, paella, baked chicken breast, eye fillet or Italian fish stew (Bouillabaisse). I've had the fish stew which is fantastic. The pizzas are great as is the wine list. I'd recommend throwing the choice to the sommelier who nailed it every time for me.
