13th July 2010 Being a Malaysian, I love food and I'm always on the hunt for authentic Malaysian restaurants but trust me they are rare to come by. Malaysia Satay House however are one of those amazing rare finds. I absolutely love the food here, especially the butter chicken - its nothing like Indian butter chicken its a completely different style (not curry) but oh so delicious! It's been awhile since I've visited as it's just too far from me now living out in Howick, but if the same chefs are still there I highly recommend this place.
152 Hurstmere Road, Takapuna, North Shore City, Auckland
The most popular Malaysian restaurant on the North Shore has over 100 authentic dishes to choose from. Malaysian Satay has received numerous awards both locally and nationally. With the kind of service and food at Malaysia Satay that has attracted praise from magazine critics, this is an experience you'll be sure to remember.
The decor is eclectic and of the batik style some might describe as "charming". The menu is extensive featuring their delicious authentic satay and sambal dishes. Try their fabulous Assam Fish dish.
We also cater for Corporate Luncheons & Dinners, Private Functions, Xmas Parties, Birthday Parties etc.
27th December 2010 Oh this was really bad!
Wife had to vomit when we came home, the Butter Chicken was very bad, very dry.
The Chicken Nyonya, a simple South-East Asian chicken curry, normally rich with coconut and fragrant with spices, had no traces of Coconut cream at all, very plain, not spicy at all unfortunately.
Just bad food and 15 minutes between my and my wife's serving. Thats really not on ....
The waitresses said about 17 times "sorry" all the time for whatever reason...
A very bad experience at Malaysia Satay Restaurant in Albany.

13th October 2010 Food and service is okay, but portion is small and price on the high side. No motivation to go back...

12th September 2010 This is such a great place for lunch & dinner, so reasonably priced and the food just gorgeous. Friendly staff. I love this place, one of our wee locals. Yummmm
