I loved my experience at Restaurant Indonesia. The food was amazing, the service superb and the host simply delightful.
The only downer on the evening was how hot the place was, it was like eating in a sauna.

Still I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Established in 1983. The only Dutch owned & operated Indonesian Restaurant in New Zealand serving authentic Indonesian cuisine.

Our speciality is the 'Rijsttafel' where a multitude of small dishes is served to your table on candle powered heaters. There a 4 options: vegetarian, meat, fish or supreme (combination of meat & fish dishes).

We also serve well known dishes as Soto Ayam (chicken soup), Satays (chicken, beef, lamb, vegetarian and prawns), Gado Gado, Lumpia (spring roll), Nasi or Bami Goreng.

Excellent food options for vegetarians and vegans.

Our full menu can be viewed on our website and we - as the only restaurant in New Zealand - have our menu translated in German and French.

Extensive beverage list available: wines, beers, soft drinks, etc.
Strictly no BYO.

The restaurant is conveniently located on Marine Parade, Napier and in walking distance of all accommodation in and around the centre of town.
