9th July 2010 50 on Park is set across the road from Hagley Park so the setting is very beautiful, very romantic and the food and wine certainly matches this up market restaurant and of course the service is fantastic just to top it all off.
50 On Park Restaurant and Bar combines innovative contemporary food, with the freshest flavours, the best local produce, and excellent wines. The stylish and chic interior with white leather chairs and striking onyx wall opens onto a private terrace for alfresco dining. Enjoy the relaxing ambience and exquisite cuisine for breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee or cocktails.
Menus change throughout the year to reflect the mood and trends of each season. Spring and summer bring delicate dishes with crisp vinaigrettes and aromatic herbs to refresh the palate, while autumn and winter's warming dishes are served with richer jus and sauces to satisfy heartier appetites.
6th September 2010 Special occasion turned out to be not so special with a pretty dissapointing showing from the kitchen at 50. I suppose that's what happens when you have such high expectations of a place. I'm glad somebody shouted us the meal, or we would have been pretty upset. The food was ok, just not what we had hoped for. Sorry if this isn't a very specific review, just wanted to put my opinion across.
