Welcome to Kidicorp, NZ's largest private provider of top quality childcare, Montessori, baby care, pre-school and kindergarten services.
We operate well-known brands like Edukids, Kids to Five, First Steps, Montessori, Community Kindergartens, Early Years and Top Kids.
We are committed to the '3 P's' of quality pre-school: people ( qualified teachers and competent caring staff) programme (extending children's learning, letting children work in different parts of the centre doing what they enjoy, purposeful play and an over-arching learning model "Te Whaariki the early childhood curricula) , and place (quiet areas, exciting outdoor fun, child appropriate environments).
As one of our parents said, "It's great to go back to work and know my children are in safe hands, having fun and learning".
At our child care centres you will find people who enjoy working with children. You will find happy children involved in their activities and expertly guided by our qualified teachers.
What all our daycare centres have in common is a nurturing attitude and commitment to ensuring each child is cared for and supported in a warm, friendly and positive environment. We have excellent qualified teacher to children ratios, quality equipment and toys and impressive learning environments.
We work with children in age groupings because we feel this is best for learning. Our centres have clear goals for each age group so that appropriate learning programmes are planned based on early childhood theory and practice.
We are very proud of our quality environments and stable teaching teams. This means children bond with teachers, bonding has been shown to be critical to the well-being and development of children in all age-groups under five. It is a critical quality indicator if you need childcare for your baby. Our teachers know about baby brain development and how to stimulate children and develop their learning potential.
Each child has a portfolio which celebrates their achievements and progress.
Our rates are very affordable and many centres offer the 20 ECE hours.
We recognize that parents are in fact the first teachers and have a wealth of skills and knowledge children will benefit from sharing. We welcome you at any time of the day to visit your child and see our busy, happy and creative centres and watch your child at play, learning.
Our environments are designed so that children can find cosy learning places pr other play spaces to socialise, play or just get some physical exercise, something that is important in preschool education.
Says Wayne Wright, managing director, We consider it a privilege to have a role in the lives of the children entrusted to us. We undertake to provide the best environment in which your child and grow and develop.
Our teachers are employed for their love, knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment to children. We pride ourselves on the quality of our staff and provide teachers with professional development opportunities that further develop their skills and knowledge.
Most of our teaching staff hold early childhood education qualifications (three year degree followed by two year registration process) and participate in ongoing training to further grow their skills. Kidicorp prides itself on its professional development opportunities that support and empower teachers to keep on learning throughout all stages of their career. We have an acclaimed Advice and Guidance programme that supports teachers during their journey to get full registration as a teacher.

I just wanted to write and tell you how impressed I am with First Steps - Tironui Road.
My son, Nathan , aged 23 months loves First Steps. We are amazed at what new things he learns every day. He would not be as confident or be as far ahead as he is in every day life if it wasn't for First Steps.
The place has such a welcoming family atmosphere and they really care about each individual child's progress.
Imelda is so good with the babies, she has a real affinity with them and they her.
Missy is larger than life and she makes learning so much fun, teaches wonderful manners and treats each child like her own.
Shalini is new to the family and has fitted in perfectly. The kids have really taken to her. Not only is Nathan learning English and Maori, he is on his way to speaking fluent Hindu thanks to Shalini. I love the fact that the place is multi-lingual.
Saffron has a quiet, soothing nature about her. She is always making sure the kids are content and happy. The kids love having big cuddles with Saffron and I can always rely on her to give me honest feedback on how Nathan went that day.
Helen is hands on with the kids. Every time I see her she is doing some sort of group activity, whether it be reading a story, doing a puzzle or playing outside. She is also a very good mediator.
Suzanne whom everyone calls 'Nana' is just that - a wonderful, loving, fun Nana. She sets up a new activity every day for the kids before they arrive. This morning I saw her setting up the train tracks with animals and trees and bridges. It looked like a lot of fun, Nathan thought so.
Karen is chief cook. She always has a smile on her face and loves a laugh. Her kitchen smells divine and the variety of meals she cooks is great. Nathan prefers her cooking to mine!
Aavini is a very kind person and is always asking how I am. She gives me good advice if I am having trouble with Nathan at home.
Jessie seems to be everywhere at once, always lending a helping hand.
Jan is always the best dressed at parties and her costumes are very imaginative. She is the organization behind all that hard stuff likes fees and trips.
Morin is the backbone behind everything running smoothly. Whatever happens goes through her first. What I like about Morin is she always helps with the kids as well. She is not just the lady behind the desk.
Jyotika is a part-time help and has a beautiful smile for every child. Nathan really responds to her happy nature.
I hope I have not missed anyone out. I know Nathan could not have a better start to his education. I cannot explain the amount of warmth I have for the place.
I would recommend First Steps Tironui Road to anyone and do almost every day.
Liz
