Parent Voice: "Five and a half years ago I arrived at an almost constructed Edukids Apirana centre and clambered over boxes of unpacked toys and books, to find a staff member. I was 20 weeks pregnant and enrolled an unborn, unknown gender and un-named child on the spot. Four months later, Jake was born and began in the Infants Room in September 2008. Now, four and a half years on, this is Jake's last week at Edukids before starting school. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff (past and present) for their care and education of Jake. I would specifically like to single out Joslin and Jeshika who have been there for the whole 4 1/2 years. Jeshika, in particular, cared for Jake from 5 months old to 2 years old and again later in the pre-school room from 3 1/2 to 5 years. She holds a special place in Jake's world. From Zoe's shoes, Raewyn's bike, Karen's food, Andrea's cool car with a wing, Riki's hat and Joslin's sandpit (she owns it according to Jake) - you have all become a constant part of the Simunic family dinner table discussions. With us, you have all been through the Humpback Whale phase, the Dinosaur phase, the Snake phase and the Praying Mantis phase...to name just a few... So thank you all very much, mostly for simply making Jake feel special.
