Davina Murray is a Criminal Law Specialist.
Davina's experience spans a broad range of criminal law issues. Her pupilage was with two senior criminal barristers, Ron Mansfield and Barry Hart. On their instruction, Davina has appeared on charges ranging from murder, rape, import and manufacture of class A drugs to excess breath alcohol, male assaults female, wilful damage and common assault. She has also appeared in appellate bail hearings in the Court of Appeal and at Parole Board hearings.
Davina has particular interests in exploring all available defences and pursuing the best outcome for every client. She is also committed to ensuring matters are resolved in the minimum of time. Using her expertise, Davina investigates all relevant elements of each charge to determine whether they can be proved beyond reasonable doubt. This process strengthens the case for her clients defences.
Davina also has a personal interest in Family Law, particularly separation advice and agreements. Assistance with dissolution of marriages and division of property is offered in conjunction with fellow senior barrister assistance.
She holds an LL.B. from Auckland University and a Bachelor of Visual Arts from Auckland University of Technology.
