Grand Park Chinese Seafood Restaurant
Grand Park Chinese Seafood Restaurant was established in August 2004, and has been extremely successful ever since. Trading on the successful formula of our sister restaurant, Grand Harbour and by word of mouth we have created a restaurant which is very popular with locals from all over Auckland, as well as overseas visitors.
Grand Park is located at Alexandra Park, Auckland's home of harness Racing in the heart of Epsom, with plenty of free parking day and night.
Yum Cha at Grand Park is popular seven days a week, with around 80 different varieties of dim sum to choose from (from steamed or deep fried or baked, from sweet to savoury to spicy, you'll find what you're in the mood for).
Dinners at Grand Park are also a very special experience with tanks of live seafood. We have an extensive authentic a la-carte menu for dinner, which is prepared by Hong Kong trained master chefs.
FUNCTIONS
At Grand Park we have a variety of function rooms available. We can cater for small intimate dinner parties to large corporate functions and weddings.
Whether you wish to design your own menu or choose from our huge selection of pre-designed menus, whatever your requirements, come in and talk to our helpful management team.
TOP OF THE PARK
Located on the 5th floor of Alexandra Park complex, this large space has room for up to 500 people for a sit down function, with fantastic views of Alexandra Park Raceway.
MAIN DINING ROOM
Grand Park Restaurant has hosted many wedding parties and corporate functions over the past few years. For smaller private parties we are able to partition parts of the dining to your requirements or we can seat up to 230 people using the complete room.

I have been a regular to this restaurant for many years and have been unhappy with the service in this restaurant . The food is generally okay but the atmosphere can seem tense as they have time limits and lack in wanting to be helpful to customers. The last time I ever went there was when we were there for Yum Cha and my daughter had badly burnt her mouth on boiling hot tea (which was our responsibility) . We asked for ice to aid to her and the worker went to the owner and came back saying it will be $2, we accepted this knowing our daughter needed it. We asked the owner as we were handing over the money why he was willing to charge for ice for first aid and the owner was arrogant, rude and simply did not care that our daughter was in pain and still charged us for a 1/4 cup of ice! Where's the humanity and compassion? I would recommend this restaurant to people who want the pretentious atmosphere, over priced food , insincere service and to be treated like dirt. If you dislike this sort of restaurant I highly recommend Sun World Chinese Restaurant New Market where regulars are recognized with deep respect , where people in charge generally want to please and where the food is consistent.

food and service is generally ok but when your time is up and they are busy, they will chase you away. Can be very agressive and pushy even when you are still eating.

Consistently good food, although the Sunday yum cha can be chaotic simply due to volume of diners.

You can't go wrong with Grand Park - excellent lovely dimsum, mouth watering seafood - it's no wonder why the place is busy and teeming with hungry diners. The food is just top notch and the price is affordable.

Always a favourite amongst everyone we know, Grand Park replicates Big Brother's authentic style - minus the carpark hassles! On the weekends it's busy-as, so getting the dishes you long for might require some one-on-one service from the waiters/waitresses buzzing around frenetically. Pretty much a failsafe place to bring any visitor to Auckland.

Excellent Yum Char! Easily in the top 3 in Auckland. Full authentic menu and setting. At the expensive end of Yum Char pricing and can be a bit cramped, but definitely one of the best in Auckland!

Great Yum Cha if you are looking for excellent variety and the full on Yum Cha experience (i.e noise, hustle & bustle, and crowds)! Parking is good but remember to book ahead of time as this place is popular. Since there is a maximum time for you to occupy a table, staff will start clearing your table if you are over your alloted time, so eat fast.

Really good Yum Char. Huge variety. But be warned, if you don't book, expect to be in the waiting queue especially during the weekends!!!

The Yum Cha is excellent at the Grand Park. There's plenty of choice, the dumplings are great as are the fried options (calamari). There are even some good options on the desert end with fried ice-cream balls a winner with my three year old. If you go on the weekend make sure you get there before 11.30am as the queue to get in can be long. Before 11am you are generally fine.

Grand Park has excellent Yum Cha. Large variety of dishes to choose from compared with some other Yum Cha places. Great for large groups!

I went here for a work lunch the other day and had great Yum Cha. So good in fact I'll be going with the family on the weekend. People say get in early on the weekends as it can get pretty busy
