Polaroid Corporation is founded in 1937 by Edwin H. Land being the first company to produce revolutionary polarised sunglasses.
In 1944 Jennifer Land asks her father, of traditional photography, Why can't I see them now? A question that has influenced Polaroid through one innovation after the other.
The Polaroid Land Camera Model 95 is introduced to the world in 1948, the first camera ever to develop photos instantly, using only the camera itself and Polaroid(TM)s unique self-developing film.
In 1972 The SX-70 SLR Land Camera is introduced. The camera, which produced the iconic square instant prints with the white border, was used by everyone from holiday makers, hobbyists to well known artists such as Andy Warhol. Its prints are still one of the most easily recognised products of the 20th century.
In 2008 Polaroid revolutionises the market once again by bringing you the Polaroid PoGo printer with Zink" technology.
2010 sees the return of Polaroid instant photography...stay tuned.
