It might be helpful here to define Self Storage. Self Storage gives you the ability to store your goods in a separate, secure unit which is locked with a padlock you provide. You are then given an access code (unique to your lease) which allows daily entry through the facility security gate. The advantage of this system is that within access hours (in our case 7.00am to 9.00pm daily) you can visit your unit to add or remove goods, to look for specific items, or just to reassure yourself that they are being stored well. Most other storage systems require advance notice before access can be given, and the hours of access can be restrictive.
Security is vital, and no local Self Storage facility has invested more in the protection of stored goods than Self Storage Taranaki. An alarmed 8000 volt power fence surrounds the property, cctv cameras are recording 24/7, gate access is recorded, and we have overnight lighting. Our managers live on site - right above the office and are therefore available at all hours to respond to any event.
