Roo (Heruds Architecture's principal designer) is passionate about Eco homes. Nature and the environment plays a large role in the inspiration for his existing designs. Roo has a strong belief that the all so important sense of home should be intricately entwined within its surroundings and should cater for the needs and requirements of its inhabitants. This includes the necessity for a home to "work for the client" rather than the client constantly working for (or around) the home. Roo Herud studied in New Zealand, UK and South Africa.
Art, architecture and design is a common theme in this talented and artistic family. Surrounded by the right influences, and growing up in an artistic and architectural family, Roo began his impressive career in architecture working in some of New Zealand(TM)s most esteemed architectural practices. Central Architecture & SSS ltd.
Roo later moved on to England where he was fortunate enough to work for one of London(TM)s most highly respected and internationally recognized AJ100 company: Sidell Gibson Architects. Surrounded by London's best, and working alongside two of London(TM)s most famous architects, Roo pursued both commercial & hi spec. residential architecture.
Roo began an architectural practice in 2003 and has excelled at discovering & fulfilling spectacular dreams in architecture ever since.
