Went out with Mark and Jen for the day and what a day, even without the fishing the trip on the boat around the islands was amazing, with the fishing it was truelly amazing. Much better than sitting on a barge for a few hours and not a lot more to pay. The accomadation is by far the best in the area, opening the door in the morning to the view of Long Bay is a memorable experience which i will repeat at every opportunity. I now have a place to go to recharge the batteries have a fish and return to the real world totally refreshed

Custom built Senator charter fishing boat: safe, comfortable complete with fridge, toilet, sounds, awesome fishfinder and a super friendly skipper who will always give it his best shot to ensure your fishing experience is a memorable one.

Our custom built 7.5m Senator fishing boat caters for 6 anglers plus skipper + crew, complete with onboard flush toilet and kitchen where, dependant on the charter you choose, your lunch will be prepared - the ocean permitting, fresh fish flapping one moment and on your lunch plate the next. The vessel is fully equipped with life jackets and the latest safety equipment.

I will find the Fish but YOU HAVE TO CATCH THEM. The fun way to fish!

Why Worry? ... Mark and his crew, Jennifer, will give you all and any assistance you need from techniques, to baiting your hook (so no need to worry about stinky bait on your hands) and taking your fish off the hooks. For those who have never given it a go ... fishing is awesome fun and we offer a range of options for an enjoyable day of fishing ...

Stayed for a couple of nights while traveling around the East Coast, and I have to say that the accomodation at Why Worry was far superior to anywhere else I stayed at on either island for the entire two months I was there! The views frm the B&B are incredible (best viewed from their hot-tub!) and Mark and Jen are both so friendly and hospitable, they really care about their guests having a good time, plus Jen's cooking is out of this world! Fishing with Mark is amazing; the guy seems to have a sixth sense for knowing where the fish are, I have him to thank for helping me catch my first snapper :-). Would reccomend this place to anyone and would go back tomorrow if I could, I will definately be returning here when I'm in the country next.

We went out with Mark and Jen and loved it and will be back with our familys next time we were out for the day and had a ball they are the nicest people you could come across Mark put us on the snapper schools so we had plenty to take home and the lunch Jen cooks up is unreal and when you go out for the day they mean it from dark to just about dark so the guys and i highly recomend going on this charter as i said we will be back up from wellington any chance we can and i class them as good freinds and when you meet them you will no what i mean

1. NO FRILLS: from as little as $75/person. Minimum boat charge $300 and you bring your own rods, tackle and bait etc.

2. ALL INCLUSIVE: from $100/person. Minimum boat charge $400, this includes all the rod and tackle hire. As much bait as required plus tea and coffee or a cold drink.

FULL DAY FISHING

FULL DAY FISHING,

1. NO FRILLS: from $150/person. Minimum boat charge $600. We will hunt the surrounding islands and known fishing grounds in search of fish but you have to catch them. You bring all your own rods, tackle, bait, food etc. We will have extra bait available for purchase on board if you require.

2. ALL INCLUSIVE: from $300/person. Minimum boat charge $1000. We will fish the islands and known inshore fishing spots but if required we will go further afield to find the fish. All rod and tackle hire included and as much bait as required. You will be supplied with lunch, usually cooked on board (either fresh snapper straight from the sea or sausages, bread and salad) home baking and as much tea and coffee or cold refreshments as you want. (non alcoholic refreshments by the way! BYO Beer)

SIGHTSEEING TRIPS

Enjoy a leisurely 3 hour cruise around the many islands and bays in the Coromandel Peninsula - view the natural rugged landscape as you would never normally see it - hopefully get to watch the dolphins who are regular visitors to our waters play and enjoy the vast bird life of the Coromandel Coastline. We can custom design a package for your fishing trip, sightseeing, special group or occasion.

Take a 3 hour cruise around the many inshore islands whilst sipping wine or beer and snacking on cheese and crackers before your skipper dredges scallops from the sea bed and then cooks them onboard for your enjoyment.
