Our kindergarten provides a safe, nurturing and enriching learning environment for children; our future leaders. The education we provide supports and encourages children to become competent and confident learners. All teaching staff are qualified in early childhood education, hold current teacher registration and first aid certificates.
We believe a partnership between children, teachers, family/whanau and the community is fundamental to a positive quality learning environment.
We encourage children to participate in a wide range of learning activities to extend and develop their skills and knowledge. The learning experiences include: exploration, creativity, literacy, numeracy, independence, confidence, working together, sharing and social interactions.
The dedicated teaching teams regularly document children(TM)s work incorporating digital photographs into stories, which provide a snap shot of children(TM)s learning. These assessments, which are recorded in individual portfolios, highlight children(TM)s strengths, interests and learning dispositions.
We are a member of the Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA).
Established in 1908, the AKA is a charitable trust made up of 107 kindergartens and three early learning centres across the greater Auckland region.
