Put simply, Good Kitchens never cuts corners. All cabinetry for this home is built in kauri frames with elements of American oak " even when the wood is coated in several layers of paint or lacquer. Good Kitchens uses high-end wood options because they won't lose their structural or surface integrity over time. Where they are exposed the grain is attractive and the wood tone rich.
In terms of construction, all the cabinetry pieces, vanities, storage units and even the entertainment unit for the home are built with traditional joinery techniques. Joints are mitred or dove tailed, and all doors have solid frames.
Rob Dines says this level of craftsmanship and the resulting solidly built pieces were appropriate to the masonry-constructed residence.
"While the traditionally built pieces by Good Kitchens might require more skill and take longer to complete, the results will speak for themselves in the years to come," says Dines.
