AA Driving School Welcome to the AA's Driving School, New Zealand(TM)s experts for driving lessons and defensive driving courses.
DRIVING LESSONS The AA has been teaching New Zealanders how to drive for over 50 years. With one of our fully qualified driver training instructors you'll quickly learn the rules of the road and improve your chances of passing your driving test. Our driving lessons are approved by NZTA, which guarantees that you will get the highest quality teaching. We recommend a series of lessons as our experience shows that one lesson is unlikely to provide the right amount of skills and confidence that is required in order to pass the test.
We(TM)ll teach you how to drive in one of our modern dual-controlled cars. One of our friendly driving instructors will pick you up from your home or school. We know New Zealand's roads and rules better than any other driving school and with over 90 agents nationwide there(TM)s bound to be a trainer near you.
DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSES After you(TM)ve passed your restricted licence, it(TM)s still a long wait until you can sit your full licence. Completing the NZTA-approved AA Defensive Driving Course will cut 6 months off the time you'll have to hold a restricted licence as well as help you become a better driver. Along with theory classes our course also includes an hour long in-car practical session.
You(TM)ll learn defensive driving skills to help you identify and assess hazards so you can spot the factors which cause the most accidents – keeping you safer on the road.
