I think the restaurant is family operated.
My experience here was superb. I have been to many restaurants before, including all the ones at the viaduct, Mount Eden and Parnell. Some of them were terrible,
However, Thip Thai was excellent. The young female Thai staff gave excellent customer service. They helped me chose my entree as well.
The food was very yum. They have a separate vegetarian menu as well. The food portions are large. I eat a lot, and I struggled to eat it all.
I had the chicken and cashew stir fry, very yum. The sauce was lovely, and they gave a large portion or rice each, and plenty of meat. They were very generous.
They do not serve much alcohol, so BYO if you want to drink.
This place has a great atmosphere. Great for a family and couple. The place stands out, from how clean it is. It is an A rating.
I also had the curry puffs for the entree.
It is all very reasonably priced, mains were roughly $14.50, for stir fries.
