i tried ringing Le garde, to make a reservation but was left frustrated as it went straight to voicmail. I then decided too walk into restaurant on my way home from work. I made the reservation for 7:30pm for the next night. for myself and my wife. I expected it been a Saturday that i might be busy but nothing prepared for me what the staff had in store for us. we arrived at 7:30 with no sign of any effort been made to reserve our table. the waiter completly ignored us. i then approached the guy behind the bar and he said too our horror that our table might be ready in 5 to 15 mins. Clearly umimpressed, we asked this same person why we could not have the table that was spare, they refused too give it too us, and then when people came in after us, they gave them the spare table, despite the fact that we were waiting before them and left to us waiting in the restaurant. This restauruant is ok if its not full, but be warned do not make reservations as the staff are incapable of managing reservations. Staff are amatuers and food over priced. As like what most people would do in this situation, we walked out in disgust at this restaurants incompetence. I come to this restaurant quite regularly, but now i dont think i will be back.
I love this restaurant. Delicious food! The mains were beautifully cooked, great creme brulee, and deliciously authentic cheeses and wines
