Bronco's Steak House

Okay it is a steakhouse but we would never go again. Mostly not just because the scallops were like bullets in a batter and had shrunk to nothing but mostly because despite actually pointing it out no resolution, apology etc. Wrote to them to suggest manager and chef actually taste them and no reply. Packeted precrumbed foreign ones I suspect. Would expect better for the price.

A solid THREE STARS from me (I don't hand out stars freely ;))...so not a bad restaurant at all. We went there for a birthday celebration...8 adults. We all enjoyed our meals, although one of us had the chicken and found it a little bland...(but that might be a lesson not to order chicken at a STEAK house). The steaks were cooked well, exactly as we ordered. The service was also VERY good...we were there on a Sunday night and it wasn't too busy...the service staff were very attentive and our orders were completed quickly and correctly (which doesn't often happen to me ;). Meals were tasty, we had entrees as well which were also good. The reason Broncos doesn't score higher is because I would deecsribe the meals as quite "basic"...simple no frills salad and chips, and they weren't particularly large. The desserts looked pretty simple and non-gourmet too, so we skipped dessert. Reasonable prices, although not cheap. I actually expected slightly better quality and bigger portions for what we were paying. I can't help comparing a place like Broncos to my old favourite Lone Star...and Lone Strar has far superior quality of food. The Ribs entree, for example, was miniature at Broncos compared to what you get at Lone Star. Admittedly, Broncos is cheaper thena Lone Star, so it is probably reasonable for what you are paying. So....I have nothing against Broncos, they did the basics well and the steak was cooked well...but more of a family restaurant than a gourmet destination. A solid THREE STARS from me.

An awesome place to go for a casual dining experience - their $12 lunches are fantastic and their Chicken Schnitzel is to die for - I have tried other meals but keep going back to the Schnitzel - also a great place to hold a party - recently had my Grandmothers 80th there and had a great time.
